Our Story Testmonials The Wood Collection
About our Wooden…. Sunglasses:

When we started this company our goal was to find a the perfect material that would make our  frames lightweight,
comfortable, and most importantly buoyant. At the end of our journey we had found the best materials for the project.
We are currently using four different species of wood to handcraft our glasses that all come from various locations
around the world.

Bamboo (Bambuseae)

Origin: China

This super tough and ultra fast growing wood is actually was the
perfect choice when it came to making our protective travel cases.
In the near future you will even see bamboo making
an appearance in our glasses
Although there are many different strains of ebony we selected this type
because it is easier to work with then conventional ebony and
it even contains slight hints of tan that can be seen
in the Dekes and Rincons.

This luxurious exotic wood was our favourite of all of the woods and this Is the reason it made it into the Walnugs, Alphas, and the Red Tides. This wood has an unpredictable grain that resembles the stripes of an African zebra.

This sexy deep red bloodwood is used make our Tom Collins. This type of wood has found its way into many different religious ceremonies and even has been used in tribal medicine.
