Red sandalwood has been used for hundreds of years due to its deep blood red coloured wood and mystical healing properties.

Bamboo (Bambuseae)

This tree naturally grows to about 20 to 25 feet high and is covered with rough bark. It is identified by its spikes of yellow flowers.  This type of wood is known to be at the root of many plantations in southern India where the tree is quite rare.

Historians believe that this specie may have been the source of the sandalwood used in King Solomon’s temple.
